Conscious Parenting with
the Bhagavad Gita

Dharma, Duty, and Love: Raising Resilient, Mindful Kids

Target Audience: Parents, Guardians, and Caregivers of children aged 5-14

Conscious Parenting with The Bhagavad Gita

Parenting today is more complex than ever. We juggle overwhelming advice, digital distractions, academic pressure,
and our children's big emotions, often while battling our own stress and exhaustion.
We react instead of respond, often feeling lost, guilty, or disconnected.

This workshop offers a different way. We move beyond quick fixes and behavioral hacks to provide a deep, philosophical framework for parenting. The Bhagavad Gita, a conversation between a confused Archer (Arjuna) and his Divine Guide (Krishna), is a powerful blueprint for navigating life's dilemmas—including the daily challenges of raising children.

Our Approach – Wisdom, Not Rules

This is not a religious program. It is a practical guide
that distills universal principles from the Gita to help you:

Understand
your
child's inner world
and your
owntriggers.

Shift from
reactive policing
to conscious
guiding.

Build a home
environment
rooted in respect,
purpose, and
emotional resilience.

Parent from
a place of calm
strength instead
of anxiety and
control.

Workshop Modules:
A Journey from Reaction to Response

Module 1

The Parent as the
Guide, Not the
Warrior

Module 2

Teaching Duty
over Demand:
The Art of Karma
Yoga Parenting

Module 3

Managing the
Mind: Emotional
Resilience for You
and Your Child

Module 4

Letting Go of the
Fruit: Parenting
without Anxiety

Module 1

The Parent as the Guide,
Not the Warrior

Concept

Your child's behavior
is their "Kurukshetra"
(battlefield); your role
is to be their
"Krishna" (guide), not
another warrior in
their fight

Key Learning

Identify your own
parenting "Kauravas"
(triggers like anger,
fear, ego) and learn to
respond from your
"Pandavas" (wisdom,
patience, compassion).

Tool

The P.A.U.S.E.
Method (Pause,
Acknowledge,
Understand, Select,
Engage) to break the
cycle of reactive
parenting.

Module 2

Teaching Duty over Demand:
The Art of Karma Yoga Parenting

Concept

Shift your family
culture from "Do this
for a reward" to "Do
this because it is your
duty (Dharma) as part
of this family."

Key Learning

How to frame chores,
homework, and
kindness as Seva
(selfless service) and
Svadharma (personal
duty), building
intrinsic motivation.

Tool

The Dharma Chart:
A collaborative family
activity to define
everyone's roles and
responsibilities,
reducing nagging and
power struggles.

Module 3

Managing the Mind:
Emotional Resilience for You and Your Child

Concept

A restless mind is the
enemy; a calm mind is
the superpower. Learn
techniques to tame
your own mind first,
then your child's.

Key Learning

The science behind the
Gita's teachings on
mastering the senses
and calming the
nervous system.

Tool

Age-appropriate
mindfulness practices
(The Mindfulness Jar for
young kids, breathwork
for tweens/teens) and
scripts for de-escalating
tantrums and anxiety.

Module 4

Letting Go of the Fruit:
Parenting without Anxiety

Concept

You have the right to
perform your duty as a
parent with love, but
you do not have control
over the results (your
child's choices, grades,
or personality).

Key Learning

How to detach from
specific outcomes to
reduce your anxiety
and free your child
from the pressure of
your expectations.

Tool

The Detachment Diary:
A method to process
your worries and
re-focus your energy on
your loving actions,
not the unpredictable
outcomes

Benefits for Your Family

Reduced
Power Struggles:
Move from constant
negotiation to shared
understanding.

Stronger
Emotional Bonds:
Build connection through
trust and guidance,
not fear and
control.

A More
Peaceful Home:
Create an environment
of calm and
stability.

Raising self
-motivated kids
who value responsibility, integrity, beyond
rewards.
